Anthropic just released a new feature called "dreaming" for Claude Code.

Here's how it works:

After AI agents work for 24 hours across multiple sessions, they enter a "dream state."

During this dream, the AI reviews everything it learned, extracts patterns, identifies recurring mistakes, and consolidates all that into clean, organized memory.

The result?

The AI gets smarter over time because it's not just collecting experiences...

It's actively learning from them.

Without dreaming, the AI's memory becomes a mess:

Contradictions, stale notes, duplicate entries, references to things that no longer exist.

Point is:

Experience without reflection is just noise accumulating in a notebook.
