the two types of email writers (which are you?)

There are two types of email writers in this world:

Scramblers and Batchers.

Let me explain:

Scramblers wake up every day frantically searching for ideas.

They sit down to write, stare at a blank page, and hope inspiration strikes…

They push their send times back because they need "just a little more time" to come up with something…

They skip emails when nothing comes to them…

And when they DO send… it's usually rushed, stressful, and exhausting.

I know this because I used to be one of ‘em lol

Back when I started writing daily emails to my own list, I couldn't stick to a consistent send time.

I was always pushing it back to give myself more time to come up with an idea.

Case in point:

One time, my cousin's birthday celebration was coming up.

I desperately wanted to get the next day's email done BEFORE I went out…

Knowing I’d probably be having a gazillion wobbly pops that night…

And be in no shape to write the next day.

But I couldn't come up with a good story idea.

So I said "screw it" and went to the party anyway.

Which explains how I found myself in the fetal position on my couch the next day…

Battling a Level 10 hangover…

Desperately trying to make my brain work so I could come up with an email idea and get it written and sent.

Not fun 🙃

In fact, it’s much more fun to the other kind of writer:

A Batcher.

These types of writers batch their ideas in advance…

Which means they sit down and generate 3 to 7 to 10 to… even as many as 30 story ideas in one session, and then they're done.

No scrambling…

Pushing send times back…

Or writing emails while hungover on the couch.

(do NOT recommend, lol)

Instead, they just pick an idea from their list, write the email, and move on with their day.

It’s calm, consistent, and profitable.
