Saw an interesting clip on IG the other day:
Ed Norton was talking about his new movie called “The Invite”...
With him, Olivia Wilde, Seth Rogen, and Penelope Cruz.
The premise is that Wilde and Rogen are an unhappy married couple who randomly invite their noisy upstairs neighbors down for dinner…
Whereupon things eventually boil over.
I haven’t seen it yet - but I’ve heard it’s quite good.
Anyhow:
The bit that caught my attention was when Norton revealed they shot the whole thing “in page order”...
I.e. start to finish, in the same order you'd actually watch it.
Which, apparently, he'd NEVER done before.
Isn’t that wild??
I knew that movies *normally* don't get made that way…
Instead, they usually shoot everything based on location + availability…
So actors end up performing the big emotional payoff weeks before they ever perform the setup for it.
But the idea that a legendary actor like Ed Norton had never done it in order before blows me away.
Now, the reason why it still works is because of the screenplay.
You see, long before the stars show up on set…
The screenwriter has already decided what every single scene is FOR.
Each one has a specific job to do.
And flows logically from one to the next…
Coming together to create a complete narrative by the time the credits roll.
As it happens…
This exact same principle applies to crafting winning email sequences:
A sequence relies on its architecture.
Every email in it has a job to do.
- Introducing the offer
- Overcoming objections
- Polarizing against the competition
- Revealing the product origin story
- Creating urgency
- Etc etc
Writing one good email is a skill.
Engineering 5-10+ that work TOGETHER as a cohesive unit to move somebody toward a purchase is a completely different skill.
And most coaches, consultants, and experts don’t care about nerding out on email conversion psychology…
They just need the thing to work.
Which is why sequences are such a common pain point for people.
They don’t just depend on the writing…
They also depend on the architecture.
Which is why I put together a Claude Skill that handles both the writing AND the architecture for you.
It's called Storyselling Super Sequences.
You just tell it what you're building (welcome, launch, post-webinar, pre-call, cart recovery, re-engagement, etc)…
And it maps the whole thing around your offer and your avatar.
Which emails, doing which jobs, in what order.
You sign off on the plan.
Then it writes each email, one-by-one.
Now, if you’d like to get your hands on it…
You can purchase it as an add-on to the Email Storyselling Skill Stack for just $100.
Just check the box at checkout indicating you’d like to add Storyselling Super Sequences to your order.
