After announcing the launch of my new Email Storyselling Skill Stack offer yesterday…
I got the following question from an ESS AI subscriber:

This was right on schedule.
This was right on schedule.
So let me explain:
Faithful readers know I’ve spent the entirety of 2026 in mad scientist mode…
Building my own AI writing software from scratch.
It’s called EmailStoryselling.ai.
And as a non-technical normie who’s never written a single line of code…
Let alone pushed a build or spun up a staging server…
This has been an exhilarating, frustrating (and at times, terrifying) creative experience…
But from Day 1…
I’ve had to balance a tug-of-war between two things:
- Performance
- Cost
You see, with my software, *I* am the one paying the API costs for every single message that gets sent to any one of the bots I’ve built.
This can be anywhere from 500-1,000+ messages a day.
And in order to make it viable as a standalone product…
I.e. something that is actually profitable…
I’ve had to watch those numbers like a hawk.
(as my wife can attest 😅)
I can’t afford to dial everything up to 11.
If I did, I’d go bankrupt.
And therein lies the tension:
Delivering the highest possible output quality while staying within the bounds of what people are willing to pay.
What’s more:
I built this tool first and foremost for MYSELF.
So it’s frustrating to have to dial anything down.
I want to run the most sophisticated bots I can build on the most advanced models and wrap them in the most useful features I can design.
Which brings me back to why I decided to launch the Skill Stack offer:
→ For one, some people will never sign up for a separate AI subscription.
→ For two, many of those that do are expecting it to generate an entire business for them out of thin air without any experience or know-how.
→ And for three, I’ve realized that coaching + guidance are MORE important than ever to get the most out of specialized AI tools like mine… even for those with legit businesses.
This is why I’m contemplating a serious shift in my business:
Pulling ESS AI off the market completely.
And instead only making it available to private clients and members of my community.
Not only will this ease the cost pressure on the product…
Allowing me to go full throttle on product development like I want to…
But it will also create the right containers for me to make sure everyone is extracting the most value possible out of it.
Aka making the most money from it.
I’m not 100% decided on this yet…
This launch is a concrete step in that direction, though.
Now, coming back to the question at hand…
What’s the difference between the two offers?
The Email Storyselling Skill Stack is a simplified version of my flagship Email Storyselling Bot.
Packaged into a one-time purchase with lifetime access + updates…
That runs directly inside your Claude account.
(with a few cherries on top, of course)
So you can install the Email Storyselling system into Claude…
Watch it write entertaining and persuasive emails in your authentic voice in 15 minutes or less…
And turn your list into a daily sales machine.
It’s a simple way for you to profit from not only my 10+ years of experience and proprietary Email Storyselling IP…
But also the past 7 months I’ve spent in the AI Builder trenches…
Learning how to architect high-performing AI workflows and systems.
(Once you buy, you own the markdown files forever. So you can study and deconstruct them and use them to design your own Skills., whether for yourself or to sell to other people.)
That’s the elevator pitch, anyway.
I’ve got plenty more thoughts to share on this topic…
And perhaps I’ll do that at some point…
In the meantime, though, this email is groaning at the seams.
So I’ll leave it there for now.
Thanks for coming to my TED Talk lol
If you’d like to grab a copy of the Email Storyselling Skill Stack offer…
You can do so at the link below for only $150.
That’s 70% off.
But this specially discounted offer disappears on August 3 at midnight.
So I’d recommend snagging it before then:
