Quick update:
I had a coaching call this morning with a 1-on-1 client who just wrapped up a really successful promotion.
It drove a pile of booked calls…
And brought in multiple 5-figures in revenue.
Big win for him.
Which reinforced that that booking more sales calls is the #1 metric he needs to focus on in order to grow the business.
More calls = more clients = more 🤑
Makes sense, right?
His question to me was about the best way to go about that.
How to structure his promotional calendar, what types of emails to send, any ninja strategies or tactics he might be missing... etc etc.
My answer?
The biggest lever isn't optimizing his cadence or email copy.
Because over the course of our time working together…
He’s been able to dial that TF in.
(not to toot my own horn or anything ;)
Humble bragging aside, though…
I told him the #1 best way for him to book more calls is to focus on GROWING the list.
Here's why...
New subscribers are worth more than old subscribers.
Fresh leads are more engaged, more responsive, and more likely to take action.
There's a recency effect at play.
So the closer someone is to joining your list, the hotter they are.
Plus they haven’t seen all of your offers yet.
Whereas your old leads have.
Another way to put it...
You can only optimize your email strategy so much.
There's a ceiling.
But list growth offers virtually unlimited leverage.
As he rightly observed…
A hugely successful promo like this effectively squeezes all the juice there is.
It harvests any latent demand that exists within your list.
So that puppy is gonna be dry as a bone for the time being.
That’s why the real opportunity for him is in consistent list growth.
Because you can’t get blood from a stone.
And this applies whether you're booking calls, selling courses, or promoting coaching.
The entrepreneurs winning right now aren't just writing better emails...
They're feeding fresh leads into their ecosystem consistently.
It's not either/or, btw.
You need both good emails AND list growth.
But growth is the multiplier most people ignore.

It’s that literally *everything* is more complicated than it looks or sounds 🤣
