Happy Friday!

I watched a new movie on Netflix last week called Jay Kelly.

George Clooney plays a fading movie star who's looking back on his career with more than a tinge of regret about who he’s become and what he’s given up to do it.

I won’t spoil it in case you want to watch it…

But there's this brutal scene towards the end where Clooney's character says to his manager (played by Adam Sandler):

"It's 35 years of my life... it's got to have meant something."

And Sandler just looks at him and says:

"What if it didn't?"

Oof.

That one line hit me harder than I expected it to.

Because, truth is…

Success without meaning is just motion.

It makes me think of a similar concept I heard from James Clear…

Which is:

Before you worry about how to “win” the game…

Figure out whether it’s even worth winning in the first place.

Most entrepreneurs don’t even stop to do that.

It’s how you get stuck grinding towards things you don’t actually want.

For instance:

What happens when you “win” the social media game?

You’ve got to keep feeding the machine.

More content, more value, more tips and tricks…

More likes, followers, and replying to comments from random people who will never buy anything from you yet expect you to bend over backwards trying to serve them.

That’s why social media is one game I chose to opt out of.

I didn’t want to lose myself in the process of building an audience that was 98% noise and 2% signal.

On that note…

One big frustration for me personally was:

How much I had to modulate my voice to get any traction on social media.

There was no room to explore deeper thinking and insight like there is in email.

No space to tell stories that actually reflected my values, beliefs, personality, or worldview.

Just quick hits and dopamine loops.

Which got me thinking about the kind of business I actually wanted to build.

One where I could write in my own voice without having to game an algorithm.

Where the daily work felt meaningful instead of just performative.

And where I wasn't constantly wondering if any of it mattered.

That's what led me to build EmailStoryselling.ai.

It helps you write emails that reflect YOUR stories, YOUR beliefs, and YOUR voice…

Without having to spend hours staring at a blank page or sacrificing what makes you unique.

So you can build a lucrative business that feels like an extension of yourself.

Not some twisted Kabuki mask designed to please the algorithm gods.

If that sounds like the kind of business you want to build…
