Got an interesting question from a new subscriber the other day.
She'd just picked up a copy of my book...
And wanted to know:
***
"Is it weird or redundant to have the same offer in every email?"
***
Great question.
One I get fairly often, actually.
And it shows she's implementing what she learned, so shout out to her 🙌
Now here’s my take:
When your subscribers see the same offer day after day...
They eventually come to a decision.
Yes or no.
Buy or pass.
And once that decision is made…
They've psychologically closed the loop for themselves.
Doesn't matter if they chose to buy it or not…
There's no more reason for them to keep reading your emails.
Because they know every single one is going to end in a pitch for this product.
Imagine binge watching 5 different episodes of a show on Netflix…
Only to find out each one ends *exactly* the same way.
Same scene, same dialogue, everything.
THAT would be a bit weird, right?
In fact, I’m guessing you’d probably tune out after a while.
So do your subscribers.
Not because your emails are bad...
But because they've already made their decision.
The issue isn't the offer itself.
It's the lack of novelty.
In other words:
If you're promoting the same thing every single day...
Your most engaged readers are going to start ignoring you.
Even if you only have one evergreen offer to sell…
You need to keep things fresh.
Shake things up.
Keep people guessing about what's coming next.
That's how you maintain engagement over the long haul.
Anyway, some food for thought :)
That’s all I got for ya today, though.
Happy Monday 🤘
