Happy Friday! ✌️

I've been keeping a close eye on the most recent developments in AI...

So I can incorporate as many of them as possible into EmailStoryselling.ai.

And lately, the topic of "AI agents" has been picking up a lot of steam.

(I've personally been using the Perplexity AI-assisted browser extensively to do a whackload of stuff… and I’ve got a Mac Mini on the way so I can start playing around w/ OpenClaw 😈)

Anyhow:

This whole agentic AI thing has been very top-of-mind for me recently.

To wit:

There's someone I stumbled across who's been banging the drum HARD on agentic AI in their ads...

Talking about how agents are the future, how they'll run your business, yada yada yada…

So naturally, I decided to buy her stuff to see what the hype was all about.

On one hand, it felt validating...

Because this person is taking a similar approach to me... bundling branded AI software with courses and community.

Which is exactly what I’ve done with Email Storyselling.

But here's the part that cracked me up:

Despite all these audacious claims about agents that will write your ads, build products, replace your entire team, etc etc…

What's actually inside are just a collection of bots.

And in my books, there’s a big fat difference between the two.

AGENTS literally take over your screen and do other stuff without human supervision…

Whereas BOTS guide you through a specific operational protocol…

… yet still require YOU to drive the workflow forward.

Make sense?

I hope so.

Now here’s the kicker…

Despite all the noise this person is making about her so-called AI agents…

Their level of sophistication is actually much lower than what I’ve built with ESS AI.

Specifically...

The context her tools use to create content is much more basic than the multi-layer setup I built from scratch.

They don't have avatars, voice profiles, URLs, project-level memories, or user-level memories working together…

Instead, it’s just a single document upload.

Easier to set up, perhaps…

But much less effective at training the AI on your voice, audience, and business.

Meanwhile, the persistent context layer I’ve built is pretty friggin' sophisticated, if I do say so myself :)

And it made me wonder:

Is all this "agentic AI" stuff getting a little overhyped?

I daresay it is.

Look, I'm not saying it won't be transformative…

I think it will be.

That’s why I’m testing every AI tool I can get my hands on with reckless abandon.

But it’s also turning into an aggressive marketing ploy that can sucker even the most discerning buyers.

Moral of the story:

There's no substitute for having something to say and knowing how to translate that idea into formats that deliver your message to your audience.

Especially when it comes to email marketing.

Bots and agents are hugely helpful tools...

But they're not a substitute for being a legit expert with a coherent set of values, beliefs, and operating principles.

Which brings me to you:

You're prob seeing the same "AI agent" hype everywhere that I am right now…

And the real question isn't whether a tool calls itself an "agent" or not…

It's whether the AI actually understands YOUR business context deeply enough to be useful.

Most AI tools are glorified chatbots with fancy marketing slapped on top.

They don't know your audience...

They don't know your voice...

And they sure as hell don't remember all that from one conversation to the next.

That's why I’ve built EmailStoryselling.ai the way I did.

With persistent context that includes your avatar, voice profile, and offer URLs…

Plus Project AND user-level memories…

Not to mention a breakthrough Voice Learning Protocol that can emulate your voice better than a world-class ghostwriter.

Finally, an AI that actually sounds like YOU :)

Which means instead of generic AI slop...

You get profitable emails in your authentic voice in 15 minutes or less…

Each one better than the last.

So if you want AI that actually understands your business instead of just another chatbot with the word "agent" duct-taped to the box…
