True story:
I recorded a new onboarding video for ESS AI 2.0 recently.
Super simple thing...
Just walking through the platform and some of the new features.
Yet the act of doing it made me feel really anxious and uncomfortable.
Which was kind of surprising.
It seemed so non-threatening….
But it triggered some intense feelings of doubt, discomfort, impostor syndrome.
In fact, I had to redo it like 7 times before I was finally content to publish it.
Oddly enough, this made me think about hermit crabs…
And how they’re kinda the perfect analogy for growth in life and business:
You’re constantly leaving one “shell” (aka identity) behind to head off in search of a new one…
Yet while you're in between shells, you feel vulnerable and exposed.
Funny how that works, isn’t it?
Anyway, point is:
Feeling exposed isn't a sign you're doing something wrong…
… it's proof you're growing.
And I suspect you can probably relate to this too.

That discomfort isn't a sign to stop.
