Fun fact:

My first 1,000 email subscribers cost me exactly $0.

And no... I didn't get them from going viral.

I got them from the first Thank You Page funnel I ever built.

Here's what it looked like:

That was it.

I didn’t even have any order bumps.

Someone would see my stupid simple ad, grab the free Blueprint, then land on a page offering the Playbook for $27.

I had to run a few copy tests on the Thank You Page to get it to convert better.

Which meant, for the first few weeks, the ads cost more than the funnel brought in...

And each new subscriber was costing me money out of pocket.

But I knew to push on because I was getting sales.

Sure enough, a few weeks later, the funnel finally hit breakeven.

So I increased the ad budget.

By the time I'd added my first 1,000 subscribers...

The funnel had paid back all of my ad spend.

Which means those 1,000 people joined my list for free.

Pretty neat, right?
