Happy Monday!

Hard to believe it’s December already 🙃

I’m headed to Quebec City later this week where the weather may go as low as -25 degrees Celsius…

(also known as a “COLD AF” for those of you dealing in Fahrenheit ;)

Luckily, I’ve got a new wool coat that hopefully prevent me from turning into a human popsicle lol

Anyway, onto today’s agenda:

My ad account has been all over the frigging place for the past few months.

This is (likely) due to the Andromeda update that came out a few months ago.

Performance has been very up and down…

And I just haven’t been able to maintain the same kind of stability and consistency that I’ve enjoyed for the past year or so.

Which is frustrating.

So I’ve been snatching up every new media buying training I see in my feed over the past few weeks…

In an attempt to get a grasp on exactly what’s changed.

One thing so far has crystallized:

You need a lot more creatives in your ad account than you used to.

And given I’ve basically been running the same handful of creatives for the past year…

I figured it’s probably time to spin up some new ones.

This led me to start playing around with Google’s new Nano Banana image generator…

… which basically made my head explode:

Seriously…

This thing is like 47 quantum leaps ahead of ChatGPT or Midjourney in terms of image generation…

Specifically:

It can create a complex, text-heavy image without a SINGLE typo.

Something none of the other text-to-image generators have been able to do.

For example:

Check out this infographic it spit out for the S.L.P.C. Method:

Bananas, amirite??

(pun absolutely intended 😜)

The idea that someone like me with no graphic skills can create a graphic like that with a single prompt (which, in turn, was produced by Claude) is hard to fathom.

Going a step further:

As I’ve been going crazy playing with this new tool…

I can’t help but reflect on something I’ve been saying for a while now…

And it’s this:

Becoming AI literate is no longer optional.

Because those who know how to leverage these tools are going to leave everyone else in the dust.

What’s more:

If you’re not engaging with these tools on a regular basis…

You’ll never even know just how much is possible.

Take my recent EmailStoryselling.ai launch, for instance:

I heard back from a number of people who thought it was basically just a dressed up version of ChatGPT at first…

But then, once they started playing around with it…

They saw with their own eyes how powerful it is and everything the tool can do for them.

So, moral of the story?

Don't write off new AI tools until you've actually used them.

Make a point to “hype check” the ones that grab your attention.

The gap between what you think they can do and what they ACTUALLY can do is wider than you realize…

And that gap is where fortunes will be made (or lost) over the next few years.
