Happy Friday! 🤘

One of my favorite podcasters is a guy named Scott Galloway.

In case you’re not familiar with him…

He’s a serial entrepreneur who’s founded a bunch of successful companies and written a handful of bestselling books.

He’s also a pretty prolific content creator.

For instance:

The guy has one podcast on markets, another on politics, another on business and tech, and then a personal one just for good measure.

Now, he’s got co-hosts for all save his personal pod, but still…

Somebody loves the sound of their own voice! Lol

Anyway, he was recently in Toronto for a live taping of Pivot (the show on business & tech).

I took my mom and my wife because we all listen to it…

And it turned out to be a ton of fun.

We managed to snag free copies of his new book…

Plus we had great seats.

But the thing that struck me most about the experience was the audience.

You see, there were maybe 200ish people in the theater…

Which doesn’t sound like a lot…

Yet when you see them all sitting in their seats, watching the show…

It hits different.

It feels like much more.

Then it occurred to me:

I have (many) more people than that reading my daily emails.

Which made for a trippy perspective shift.

Because I don’t know about you…

But I find it’s so easy to look at my audience and engagement metrics as small or inconsequential sometimes.

And in relative terms, my list is small.

I’m not at 50,000 or 100,000 subscribers yet.

Nevertheless:

When I picture thousands of real live people reading my emails every day…

It’s deeply validating.

And frames my audience and work in a totally different light.

So I encourage you to do the same:

Whether you’ve got 50 readers or 50,000…

Take a second to picture all those people sitting in a room reading your email the next time you press send.

I’m willing to bet you’ll feel much better afterward.

That’s all I got for ya today, though.

Enjoy your weekend :)
